SINGAPORE, 8 April 2026 – ProfilePrint, the pioneer in AI-powered molecular fingerprinting for the agrifood industry, today announced the global launch of Mini Beluga and the ProfilePrint Lite platform. Together, they represent the company’s most significant move yet to make AI-driven quality assessment accessible and affordable for the broader specialty coffee industry.

Why This Matters Now

Since its founding in 2017, ProfilePrint has deployed its enterprise solutions across more than 80 locations worldwide, and is backed by strategic investors including Cargill, Olam, Louis Dreyfus and Sucafina. But the company recognised that its enterprise-grade platform and analysers were out of reach for a significant portion of the industry: the small-to-mid-sized buyers, independent roasters, and regional traders who form the backbone of specialty coffee.

Mini Beluga and the Lite platform were developed to close that gap, bringing the same core AI capabilities to a broader audience at a price point and form factor that make adoption practical.

“Over the past few years, a consistent theme has emerged from conversations with our customers across the coffee industry,” said Alan Lai, founder and CEO of ProfilePrint.

Introducing Mini Beluga and ProfilePrint Lite

The Mini Beluga is ProfilePrint’s most compact analyser to date. Weighing just 1.3kg (2.6lbs) and small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, it captures a molecular fingerprint of green coffee beans in minutes, with no roasting, brewing, or specialised training required. Its portability means quality checks can happen wherever the beans are: at origin, in a warehouse, or at a roastery.

Those fingerprints are processed through ProfilePrint Lite, a streamlined version of the company’s AI platform built specifically for specialty Arabica green beans. By simplifying workflows and reducing the barriers to adoption, the Lite platform gives smaller businesses access to high-level insights without the complexity of full-scale enterprise integration.

The platform’s three core capabilities help users:

Generating a quality report on the Lite platform, directly from your phone

Sell and buy with confidence.

ProfilePrint’s in-house Specialty Arabica Green Bean model has a global database of over 30,000 specialty coffee samples assessed by Q-graders worldwide, delivering rapid predictions of SCA scores, flavour profiles, moisture level, and lot consistency. It also allows cuppers to layer their own assessments alongside the AI’s predictions, combining human expertise with AI-powered insights in a single, shareable report.

Displaying a side-by-side comparison between two digital lots

Verify every shipment.

The Compare feature performs a side-by-side molecular analysis of two digital lots, enabling users to verify whether an arrived shipment matches the approved sample, catching quality drift before it reaches the customer.

Ensuring consistency in roasted coffee despite changes in green beans between roast sessions

Roast consistently.

Roast Insights detects molecular changes in green coffee between roast sessions and provides recommendations to help roasters maintain their target taste profile, surfacing what has changed so they can make informed adjustments.

Mini Beluga and the Lite platform are available from US$300 a month. For teams not yet ready to invest in hardware subscription, ProfilePrint also offers a remote scanning service through its network of scanning centres.

Early Reception

The solution was previewed to industry professionals at the recent Melbourne International Coffee Expo. “Speed and simplicity are just as important as consistency in our day-to-day operations,” said one specialty coffee buyer who previewed the solution. “A tool like this lets us integrate quality assessment directly into our daily workflows without slowing things down.”

Broadening Access to Quality Assessment

The launch of Mini Beluga and the Lite platform reflect ProfilePrint’s broader strategy to extend its technology beyond enterprise clients and into the hands of more stakeholders across the coffee value chain. By lowering the cost and complexity traditionally associated with quality assessment, the company aims to help more businesses make faster and more informed decisions.

“Our goal is to transform this process into one that is fast, objective and widely accessible,” added Lai. “With this new solution, we are extending the reach of our technology so that more businesses, regardless of size, can benefit from AI-driven insights. The launch of Mini Beluga and the ProfilePrint Lite platform reflect our commitment to listening and responding to market needs.”

Mini Beluga and the ProfilePrint Lite platform are now available, with broader commercial rollout expanding in the coming months.
